Currently Posted to SBI Global IT Centre, Navi Mumbai, since January 2008, Banker in-charge for Service Desk (Treasury and Core) for our Foreign offices with a floating support staff of 20, as also Country Coordinator for SBI Israel operations.

Primary Responsibilities included managing the Operations of the Branch and included Management of an Asset base of USD 350 million approximately. The portfolio included Syndications, Foreign Currency loans, Trade (Buyers Credits/Supplier Credits) and Local advances
Act as Dealer for all Money Market and Forex transactions including swaps and forex forwards both for the Branch and its customers via our Centralized Treasury desk at Hong Kong, as well as independently managing the Intraday and Overnight Forex positions of the branch profitably.
Managing the Funding positions and borrowings of the branch (both on Term and Overnight basis in USD, JPY and EURO of up to $80 million on a daily basis) while managing adequate Liquidity for exigency purposes. Also monitoring the Term fund Mismatches over all terms using a self devised spreadsheet duly endorsed and currently being used by the branch.
Monitoring of the liquidity risk and interest rate risk of the Branch.
Managing the Trade transactions relating to Buyers credits and Supplier credits and Imports and all tasks associated (including funding & Swift messaging) over their full life cycle.
Managing the Local and overseas Remittance section and all tasks associated (including Customer Interaction, Compliance, Funding, Swift messaging and Payment follow ups) over its full life cycle.
Other responsibilities included Cash management, management of staff of six people, MIS, Revaluation, and Reconciliation.

Responsibilities included Dealing with our branches and Corporate Customers and advising rates for Forex Cash/Tom/Spot rates and Forwards in all major currencies, Preparation of Card Rates etc.
Also devised a Macro based program for extracting Forex spot and forward rates from the REUTERS 3000Xtra screen, (for use by our Treasury software development Project) at the BANK level

Assistant Manger (Systems) 1.2 Year (Aug 2002. – Sept 2003)

Major responsibilities included managing the Database of the Bank’s Forex transactions on a daily basis and generating reports. Also managed a Project to set up a new intermediary Software (SFMS) at the Bank level for financial message relay between branches and the SWIFT platform. Also, independently managed a Database for EEFC transactions for the Bank efficiently in parallel run with the Implementation of its related Software.
